Electoral Roll

Could someone pls advise.
I am Just in the process of applying for a mortgage. I noticed last month that I wasn't on electarol roll so this has now been rectified and I have a letter from council confirming that as of 1st Aug I am listed at property.
My problem / concern is that My credit file hasn't been updated yet ( experian is the one I am checking ) so I am not shown on my credit file as on electoral roll.
Question is does the mortgage company take that information from credit file or actually do a voters check via updated electoral roll. All my other credit is fine with no issues so just worrying about this as don't want to apply if it's a straight decline
Any help , as always , greatly appreciated

Lenders like to see continuity of registration on the electoral roll. As it's what ties your history together. Recent registration alone isn't so critical. As people are always on the move and there'll be a lag.0

I have basically been at the address for 8 years.
So will they be able to see the 2 entries. One stating at the address from 2008 to April 2016 and then still at same address but from Aug 2016. I only ask as when I apply and they ask how long at current address I am naturally going to say 8 years.0
