hubbys PPI claim form. Can jobcentre refuse to fill it in?
He's unemployed and been signing on for ages now even though hes not entitled to recieve any money from them and is claiming his payment protection insurance. He took the form in to the jobcentre yesterday to get it filled in and they refused to fill it in as hes not getting any benefit. Surely they could just fill it in and confirm that hes signing on. Will his claim still go through? What should we do?

Is he actively looking for work ( and in a position to accept if a job was offered) - if so I would take the form back and ask to speak to a manager.
Is there a reason why he is not entitled to benefit?0 -

Quite a few years ago I worked for the Jobcentre and I used to get these all the time and fill them in. I can't see why there would be a problem......perhaps he was unlucky enough to get someone who didn't understand what it was for.
Definitely get him to go back and if he gets the same person, ask to speak to a manager.0 -
Most conditions is that he is looking for work if claiming for unemployment.
