Hi,
I'm sure this has been asked many times before, but upon searching the forum there are hundreds of responses!
Anyway, I'm after filling healthy lunches if possible. If you have any links to previous threads I'm more than happy to look!
Lunches would mainly be for my partner who works 14 hour days so is very hungry and we can't afford for him to keep getting food at work! He has access to a fridge and microwave:-).
Thank you for any help!

There are lots of things he could take. My DH used to take LO dinner from the night before if there was anything left.
Soup is also good, can either be put into a flask or just into a lock & lock and reheated.
Jacket potato with beans & grated cheese or tuna mayo.
Sandwiches, salads, couscous with salady bits mixed in etc.0 -
If you have a fridge and microwave you can eat basically anything you fancy.
As joedenise has already mentioned, any leftovers from the night before would be good (just portion up at the sometime as serving out your meals) or cook something on Sunday night (like a pasta bake) and take in portions each day.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

I like making my own savoury rice, I usually make a batch every week. It keeps in the fridge for a few days once cooled and you can have it either cold or heat up thoroughly in the microwave.
You can use onions, peppers, garlic, frozen peas, kidney beans mushrooms sweet corn, as well as chicken, chorizo, bacon pieces, ham. Dd made this weeks batch and added a tin of tomatoes. I add stock cubes according to what meat I'm using.
There's also pasta with tuna, instead of the usual Mayo I add chopped tomatoes, garlic, spring onion and a glug of balsamic vinegar.
Soup or leftovers are also popular in my house especially for dh.
Ds has rice with quorn chicken style pieces and broccoli, he adds his own home made salsa for flavour and to stop this being too dry.0 -
I either take leftovers or I batch cook meals (chili, casserole, Shepherd's pie, sweet and sour, pasta bake, curry etc), freeze and just take out the night before and microwave at work. I find it easier and much cheaper than sandwiches every day!
Soup is another good idea, take rolls or crackers to eat with it.
If I'm in early or have a long day I'll take some yogurt and granola, buy the giant tubs of yogurt and a box of cheap granola and mix together in a plastic tub. Add raisins, nuts etc. Much cheaper than those individual yogurt pot things and you can add what you like. I also add frozen or canned fruit if I can be bothered.0 -
Thank you
some great ideas x
