Hi All,

Just a general enquiry about taxing a car in Northern Ireland. Is a grace period given? For example if tax runs out on the last day of the month and the car wasn't taxed until the first or second of the following month - is this allowed or does it result in a fine?

There is no weeks grace per se, however they generally don't start to think about persecuting people for several weeks.

Get it done as soon as poss and I am sure it will be grand

You have to pay back date the tax from the date it expires
