I'm going to the dentist this afternoon, so half of it will be going to the hygienist.

Well i'm home from the dentist and she said to come back next week. So that's the second half of my £100 going to them.

I'm just curious, I like the replies so far, I dont have £100 to gamble, been there and given it up as a bad idea. I watch a lot of youtube vids to improve my craft/woodworking skills and have invested lots into all the kit. I'm expanding on this as a small business venture anyway.

I like the buy bargins and re sell option at the moment although in the past i haven't made my millions lol.

Well if you've got £20k of debt then £100 isn't going to make a huge dent.

I would go with the buying and selling.

However before you shell out £100 why not start with decluttering your own stuff first rather than buying stock. Then ask your friends and relatives if they want to get rid of anything.

Offer them a cut of what you make but I bet must of them will be happy you are helping them have a clear out. Most will just give you their unwanted goods for free.

(If you do make a large profit on what they give you then you could give them a little gift as Thank you).

Start with the cast offs and free stuff first.

I used to do a car boot sale once a month through the summer. I regularly made £80 to £100.

If I stumbled on something I wasn't sure about I would take it to the auctioneers for a valuation. Most of them have a day when they do free valuations.

One year I decided to tackle my loft. I made £1100. Some went to the auction house, some eBay and some to car boots.

You would be surprised how much you can make once you get your head round it.

Today I'd pay it straight off a credit card, but I just got paid so my budget looks reasonable and I've made two (small but healthy) over payments already this week.

Next week I'd spend it - probably on clothes (although maybe on eBay rather than high street).

The week after that I'd bank it, as I'd be aware that I was at risk of having no money left in my account because I'd be working away the following week and paying £££ for food before I can claim it back.

My most recent bit of spare cash went on a small lot I stumbled across on ebay, fixed up & sold again for 10x. You might take a look at the dolls house furniture department - under Dolls & Bear, dolls house miniatures. Plenty of vintage stuff needing a bit o' fixing & woodwork skills.
  • i would stock up the cupboards with essentials, tins etc so that my food bill is less for the next few months...however i guess that would then mean theres more money to pay off debts as my food bill would be less so maybe just pay off debts?

right now however i would buy my daughters christmas presents.
  • £100.

I paid that yesterday to a nominated charity appeal. A friend's child has just passed away to their life-limiting disease and this was their way of 'in memoriam'.

    It's money - I'll get more.

They no longer have their child.

My heart breaks for my friend and her family.
