Negotiating Salary

  • That depends. I recently got a new job and I didn't know for sure the salary I'd be offered until the offer letter & contract arrived. I did then manage to negotiate a slightly higher salary.

    How confident is 'friend' that they will be able to deliver £40k of value in early months ? Is it a role they can walk straight into and deliver straight away or will there be induction/training needed ?


    If I were 'friend' I'd be taking the risk and asking for some firm objectives/deliverables that will lead to an increase after 6 months (and if they're feeling really bullish they could suggest that if they're exceeded then salary is backdated to starting date
