Are you counting down in a good way to summer hols or do you find them difficult? I'm such a mixture.

Well done on getting a handle on your spending. Re this big trip for DS1 as he messed you around a bit, what is HE doing to help pay for it? Extra chores, tidying up the garden, minding little ones if he is old enough? For that much I do make my admittedly older children contribute something to it. I think they appreciate it then.
I wish we had an Aldi here....

Maybe you could post an soa on here to see if there are areas we can suggest you cutting back? I guess it is expensive to raise 6 kids.

  • All sounding really good, keep going 2020 will be hear in a flash and you seem motivated enough to have a good go at becoming debt free.

Sunny with me also, feels good to be able to get some washing out on the line, maybe spring is finally here.

Hi have you done an soa? Not sure if I just skimmed past it. We shop at Aldi have done for about 8 years it's great but is creeping up price wise a little bit. Not as much as other stores thankfully! I have bought a book called savvy shoppers cookbook and it has recipes where all food is bought from Aldi. She has a blog with shopping lists and meal plans on where the bill is around £30 a week. That's for a family of 4 though.
