Shared ownership housing -Heylo

Hi, do any of my fellow mse people have any information about Heylo housing which is apparently a shared ownership housing scheme where you pay a deposit on a house that isn't new build, then pay a monthly rent with no mortgage required? At the moment this is my only option to get onto the housing ladder at the age of 50 and on my own after marriage breakdown. I am reluctant to hand over a big chunk of money before I've done some research.
Any help or advice gratefully received.. Thank you

Hey there Debsa,
I was just wondering if you ever found out anything more regarding this Heylo scheme? It's something I'm also looking into and can't seem to find a whole lot of information on them. (apart from on their website)
Thanks!0 -
Me being the eternal pessimist.., I googled Heylo Housing problems

Although I'm not sure how much of a problem these articles are for someone in your position. More information anyway.0 -
not to mention you must be informed of the cons of shared ownership and look between the lines of 'It's cheaper than renting'"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
