Proofreading/Editing

Hi!

After graduating a while ago, I decided to start a proofreading and editing business. I have been kept really busy with it through advertisements on e-bay, gumtree etc, but recently things have gone a little quiet.

Does anyone know anywhere I could advertise this? I did see a website where you could register for a certain fee a year, but it didn't look like many people used the website so I was reluctant to pay the fee if no business was to come from it!

Any help at all would be appreciated!

Hi, could it have gone quiet because of schools/universities being on holiday? I would like to know more about this as I think I might be interested in doing this kind of thing, too.

I hope so!! I just worry that perhaps just as things were beginning to pick up its all of a sudden went quiet! Maybe I'm just a bit anxious!!

Re your adverts on Gumtree. I used to advertise a service on Gumtree, but out of the blue Gumtree started blocking email addresses sent through their own messaging service. I asked Gumtree about the problem but they were as good as useless.
Do you have this problem?
