Brilliant inspiration!
I found myself in similar place re spending, consolidating and still spending. Have used the money saving mantra to stop that.

What are your goals on the mortgage? New deal, new lender or new home?
Well done on paying it all down xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000
Loan 2 £300/£5800
Total £5500/£138000 -
Thanks, hoping to be debt free next year!
We have a Shared Ownership home so hoping to remortgage and buy the remaining share. However, the advice I have had is using my overdraft won't look good to a lender so will have to see how things go. I focused on paying off my credit card and loan perhaps it should have been my overdraft.0 -

Credit Card 1: closed
Credit Card 2: £0
Credit Card 3: £1,800 (0% interest until June 2019)

Overdraft: -£600 (at the end of November)
Finally feel like I am getting near to end of my debt journey! Spent all year paying and overpaying on debts. Cleared my personal loan a few months earlier and managed to bring down my overdraft. Been helped along the way by a successful PPI claim and a decent payrise. Currently trying to remortgage which I hope is successful (should hear soon!).0
