Not bad, £169.99 at Amazon.
Price on this will be dropping everywhere as the newer HD5 is out.0 -
Im tempted, but dont know how much better the HD5 will be, and whether the HD3 will get any cheaper anywhere.
Dont really like the look of IPODs

The HD5 is smaller and sexier
The main problems with the HD3 is the buggy software and difficult navigation using the control pad, I don't know whether these have been improved with the HD5.
Although the Sonys look much nicer, the iPods are overall better IMO - much better user interface, flexible smart playlists, album art display (on the photo models).
Depends if you want a music player for its looks or for its functionality; as much as the Sonys look appealing, they just don't cut it when it comes to managing and playing music.0 -
I did a bit of reading, and a number of people are suggesting that the HD3 has superior sound quality to the IPODs , once you change the bundled headphones.
I only want it for the music really, and wouldnt be constantly changing the music on the player.
I think Im happy to take the Sony, but just dont know whether the HD3 at the mo constitutes the best deal, or if I should hang on.
They are going for more on Ebay at the mo it seems.
Also,
I really dont want less than 10gig, so IPOD mini's etc are too small, and once you get over that storage size, it gets really expensive to justify.
If it was too small, I wouldnt be able to put enough music on there to keep me entertained, as I like to vary the music.Be nice0 -
I guess it depends how soon you need one heh, I'd recommend that you wait. If I was to go for a Sony I'd wait and buy the HD5, when they get cheaper.
Alternatively if you buy one for £135 now you could probably sell it on in a month or two and not make too much of a loss on it (if any).0 -
hi
does the ND-HD3 MP3 have record function? If so can the recording be digitaly transfered to pc?

Cheers - bought one.
Looks like Dabs' stock level isn't realtime - it still shows 20 available despite me buying one.

the item isn't even on their website now. I saw it earlier but have been waiting patiently for the HD5 so can wait a few more days.0
