Perfect Pitch/Absolute Pitch

I'm just interested if there are members on here with perfect or absolute pitch? When you first found you had it? The benefits etc...
I'm not sure if I was born with it but I was able to identify what key songs from TV programmes or pop music was written in when I was about 9. Mine was discovered officially by my music teacher when I was 16. I didn't actually know what it was or called until then. Funnily enough, she had knew me 8yrs by then and didn't realise!
For me, it's useful and I must say, I do cringe when someone is out of tune or when the radio is playing a song in the wrong pitch.
The only downside I find is not being able to understand brass instrument music score. It's like kryptonite to me. I can't hear what I see, which is very confusing!!
