Taking TFL or Metroline to court

So basically for over a year and a half now I am using two buses of Metroline's.

About 20 complaints been sent out and nothing has been reaolved.

Buses not showing uo at the starting station, buses leaving early, running more than 10m late,.

Totally unreliable service and I am pretty much fed up with this.

All they keep saying is sorry and sorry and sorry, but no improvement!

I am wasting daily one hour and sometimes two commuting to and from work because of the unreliability of these buses. If they would arrive and go by the timetable Athere wouldn't be a problem. Especially the funny part is that it happens after 22:00. There are basically no traffic on the roads and these basterds just cant make it on time. From working 5 days weekly, there is maybe ONE occasion when I can get home by the plan.

I am thinking of taking TFL or metroline to court because they fail to improve the service and refuse to refund me.

Yeah, I'm on my way to get my driving license and I will burn my oyster card! I would rather pay £200 monthly on insurance than paying these idiots £81 for this rubbish service.

I have gone to the ombudsman and to travelwatch, both refused to help.

Forgot to mention, the connection of the buses are at a place where no other buses run. Therefore I cannot just use a different bus or a different route. I always have to use Uber to get home when they are not showing up.

Is there maybe a way to ask them to reimburse me for the money I had to pay for Uber?

I have done this a few times (although not in London) and the bus operators have always paid, although they try to do so in vouchers for bus travel!

And Google "Traffic Commissioner". There are various of these serving different parts of the country, and bus operators need a license from the relevant Traffic Commissioner in order to run a service. So a complaint to them should have an impact.
  • Don't waste your time with these clowns all you will get is fob off excuses. TfL don't give refunds for bus delays. Buy a bike or scooter anything is better than paying these fools to line their own pockets. Also travelwatch is paid for by TfL another total waste of time.

    What journey are you making?

    Could cycling be an option?
