Return in hair dye following a failed patch test

They stopped making the hair dye I normally use so I bought a garner nutrise unfortunately only a few minutes after carrying out the patch test I got a reaction.
So I now have full useless box of dye. Can I return it? Or is it technically used?

Nothing technical about it, you opened it, its not in a resaleable condition so I very much doubt they would accept a return0

So frustrating that you have to open it to do the test then if you react you've just thrown a fiver in the bin.
Not that I can see any other way round it, just very annoying.0 -
You could have a bash at contacting garnier customer services

Saying had a reaction, been colouring for years, thought you should let them know, say type of reaction and see if they can pin point a particular ingredient to avoid
They may send you some L'Oreal vouchers as a gesture of goodwill0 -
Thanks I will contact them out of curiousity.
I didn't realise it was l'oreal i can't use any of their hair dyes.
My salon changed from Schwarzkopf to matrix and they did a colour test behind my ear and I ended up with a chemical burn the size of a 1 penny peice.0
