Need help with veg

I sometimes stock up on veg at Farmfoods using a voucher that they send through the door. However, they seem to have gone from buy two bags get one free, to buy three bags get one free. Also, the frozen fruit which used to be 450g is now only 400g. The veg are in smaller packs than the other supermarkets too and I am having difficulty working out whether they are actually better value than just buying at the normal supermarkets. I can get 1kg of frozen broccoli at Morries for £1 I think. What does everyone else think. Is Farmfoods actually better value? Esther xx
Have to agree with you on that - I went to Farmfoods a couple of weeks ago to stock up on frozen veg, not having been for a while, and was most disappointed they'd changed the offer, and many of the bags of veg on offer are only 600 gm where I'm sure they used to be mostly 1 kg or at least 8-900 gm.
Re the OP not much liking frozen veg - I was assuming she was referring to pre-frozen as opposed to buying cheap veg and freezing it yourself? I've never much liked commercial frozen carrots, somehow they never seem to cook properly and they don't have the sweetness of fresh carrot, but when I've frozen them myself they are fine.I want my sun-drenched, wind-swept Ingrid Bergman kiss, Not in the next life, I want it in this, I want it in this

thanks for the replies.
I think with SW I was so "weightloss" oriented that I'd just buy whatever i hoped woul give me a good weightloss. Not good for my budget.
We have lots of space to grow veg and do have two veg plots+polytunnel but we live in Wales and the weather is very changeable and the past two years we've lost almost all our crop to soggy wet weather...very disheartening! Even in the polytunnel - the dampness just kills off everything.
I'm going to go to aldi this morning to see what i can get.0 -

No wetter then here in NI
We can't plant much because those things that need the sun just aren't going to thrive, so we stick to what's grown locally, and that's root veg mainly but we also get good crops of cabbages and Brussels
Can be tedious and repetitive but as they say, every little helps0 -

Do you have a garden area to grow some of your own?
if you do tomatoes, courgettes and runner beans are ridiculously easy to grow from seed. I cant keep up with my runners this year and chopping and freezing loads0
