  • Medion computers always had a good name, I didn't realise Aldi were still doing them.

Is it any good, though? The one review posted on the site does not recommend it.

^ Wonder whether that user had cleared the packaged bloatware off the system to free up more space?

Medion Akoya S2218 Notebook - 149.99 (not sure if this is "launch" price, or if it's gone up since..)
    11.6 inch screen
    32GB Flash Memory
    2GB Memory (RAM, I assume)
    HD Webcam
    Windows 10
not gone up, I've seen it today at that price. It's a shame it's only got 32gb memory.
  • It's a netbook not a full laptop hence the small hard drive. That's about normal price, plenty on argos around the £149.99 mark.

proper laptops with larger hard drives will be around £200 plus.

We have one of these, it is fine for our needs. It is a notebook, not a laptop, so note there is no facility for playing dvds etc.

I thought this was a bog standard offering on the spec and as Cpt Beaker states, there is plenty of competition in this price range. However, when I was researching a few months ago, I didn't come across one with a a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Another thing in Aldi's favour is the 3 year warranty, which is standard on their products.

What is the sound volume like? I'm rather disappointed with the level on my Asus E402M.
