Witness to sign contracts

Got contracts through from solicitor. In one section it requires a witness signature ... Who did you all get as a witness ? I understand it can't be parents .

Friends or work colleagues. They only need to see you sign not read the document themselves.0

1 I took into the sols and had her receptionist act as a witness, the other I asked the lady behind the counter at my local post office before I stuffed it in an envelope and mailed it back... Be creative !!!
It just can't be family or somebody with a direct involvement in the sale/purchase.0 -
We've used a neighbour, a sibling's boyfriend/girlfriend, and even the midwife after I gave birth (the papers arrived the day i went into labour :rotfl:).Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0
