When should csa payments stop

Hi all my daughter is 18 and was at collage I am unfortunately rarely in touch with her but expected my payments to end in August. I have a deduction of earnings and yesterday received a new schedule from the csa for payments from September onwards. Even if my daughter stays on at collage for another year she would have to enroll from 24th of this month so why would the csa send a new schedule out without knowing if she was at collage or not. Thanks Andy.

We have been in this situation. Depending on what sort of course she is doing payments can continue until the August after she is 19 I think. It is dependent on whether the PWC is eligible for Child Benefit, I think the PWC has to apply for an extension to Child Benefit if the child is over 18.
You could ask the CSA to do a Child benefit check on the PWC, and if they find that the PWC is no longer eligible for CB then the case should be closed. Our payments still continued until we had done this and we were allocated a refund as we had overpaid.0 -
Thanks for info. Will give them a ring.0

Had a chat the other day with the CSA. My son is 18 and just completed his A levels and will be starting a degree course in mid September.
I was told that the CM payments are made in arrears so the 1st September would be the last payment, and that the Child benefit would cease on the 5th September. The 5th seems to be a universal date, if the benefit was going to stop this would be the designated day!
A final invoice would be sent once the child benefit is confirmed as stopped.
I also received a payment schedule recently for 2016/17.0 -

If they leave FT non advanced education after exams in June/July then end date is first Monday in September which this year is the 5th.0 -
Thanks for all your replies I'll ring them after the 5th if I don't hear anything0
