help please - adding additional debt to a DMP!

Options
hello and thanks to all that reply and help

i have been in a DMP for 2 years now paying at least 20k off! (yay!)
however just recently a old gambling habit returned and lending from pay day lenders - i know this is completely against my DMP rules and i know very stupid of me!!! im very disaapointed in my self!

i an with Stepchange and thinking of ringing them to see if i can add the loans (which im now struggling with) to my plan and offer to pay a little more to my monthly payment? has anyone done this and has stepchange been ok with this?
i understand they can cancel my plan and i suppose i can move to payplan, ive thought about arranging a plan with the lenders myself but 1 payday company is just vile and horrid and i hate dealing with them?

    Hi LMJ10,

It will be at Step Change's discretion what to do here. If you have been a reliable payer and you have now got some help to your gambling they may let the plan carry on. If you can boost the payments that is even better, but you won't know until you ask them.

You either try and hide it and struggle on, bearing in mind if they find out they can cancel anyway. Or you can come clean and see what they say. Worst case scenario, if they do cancel you could look at other free DMP's or get more advice about whether a DMP is actually your best option anymore. Good luck,
