Rehoming a stray cat in NI

I've been feeding a cat that appeared in our back garden in July. All attempts to find its owner have failed.
We can't keep him as our cat throws a complete hissy fit whenever he's around so we need to get him rehomed. There's the obvious two options of Assisi and Cat's Protection League. Can anyone tell me if either of these (or any of the other cat rescue options) are better than others? He's an adorable little thing so I really want him to go to the best home.
Thanks.

Cats don't really have owners, they just go to whoever feeds them.0

On Facebook there is a group called North Down Lost and Found. Contact them. The cat could be lost and the owner looking for it.
CPL are over run with cats and kittens and might not be able to do anything.0 -

I've put flyers through doors and the details have been shared on both Lost and Found Pets North Down and Northern Iteland.
It's such an affectionate little thing that it must have been loved by somebody.Norn Iron Club Member 3300 -
Fair play Jenny for all your efforts.0

What area are you Jenny? As there are a few rescues that can help if Assisi and CPL can't.0

I'm in East Belfast. I've called Cats Protection Belfast, Assisi and Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary. All are full at the minute but have added the cat to their waiting list.
He suddenly stopped eating so has been at the vets since yesterday. They are still trying to find out what's wrong. As our own cat won't tolerate him I need to find him a foster carer until one of the rescue centres can take him in. I can't take him home and then leave him living oustide.Norn Iron Club Member 3300
