Camera help

I would love a new camera but its just so confusing , i would like a decent zoom /megapixel count and a macro facility.

BUT this is my problem i want a compact camera not one with all the bells and whistles.

Any suggestions ?

The Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ70 and the Lumix DMC TZ80 have everything you need and are great cameras.

I think the cameras have come on leaps and bounds over the last few years and with the introduction of decent ones on phones nowadays it means that you can get a decent piece of kit quite cheap for amateur pictures, I had a good a Samsung one that I got free with a phone a few years back but left it in the pub after a wedding never to be found again.

Canon is a good brand of camera and just don't go with the latest one as the older models will still be very good at a fraction of the cost.
