This should be well documented in the terms for term time working being distributed over 12 months.

Term time working does not accrue 5.6 weeks(28 days) holiday

I suspect some places just ignore the term time aspect and just treat it like a regular job.

That's the thing that's confusing me. We don't get holiday to take as leave we are paid a holiday uplift allowance in our salary as we cannot take any holiday at all in term time. So I am only paid for 37 weeks + holiday uplift and this is what is divided by 12 months equal salary.

I have read my contract and our maternity policy 3 times and there is nothing about term time only working in it at all.

Well I spoke to hr who surprised me when they said 'we haven't really dealt with term time only maternity leave before' but she went on to explain that I will get SMP and then the holiday pay will be calculated with how much time I take off maternity leave and then paid to me as a lump sum at some point during maternity leave or when I come back. I told them I would like to come back in the last week of June and they were fine with that and said then you will be back on your normal contract for the rest of the academic year up until September.

It's not that cheeky as next summer holidays I will need to do one day a week as I am project managing a refit of the area I manage so it makes sense for me to come back and oversee that.
