We have MIP, but offer has been declined

We have a mortgage in principle with Lloyd's, and made an offer with it, but it has been declined.
It is not enough to up our offer.
Would it work against us to shop around for a new MIP, and to hopefully get more? Using the how much can I borrow, the amount is on the low side.
I know a soft check can stop on your records for 6 month, so I am thinking each time you look for a mortgage you would be adding to that.
Can anyone offer advice please?
