    I've no idea what a composting bin is ... but it really doesn't sound like something that's recommended to have in a kitchen... it sounds yucky. Like you're growing your own worms etc.

    Wouldn't it stink? Fester? Grow maggots?

    all you do is you daily take the caddy up to the compsot bin and empty it, its got a lid so i cant see how anything can get inside

    Just remember to try to open it outside in the summer - I keep getting loads of little flies in mine, even though it does have a lid on it (complete with smell filter!! That said, I would not be without mine on a rainy day cos the compost bin is up the other end of the garden with lot of wet grass to walk on along the way!
