Hi All, I'm having a panic and hope you can help! ok firstly i know i've been stupid - i can't really even give a good reason, but here's my issue..... i've always had bad credit over the years and had a bad credit rating..... and thus always had problems getting credit - on at keast one occasion i have entered a false date of birth in the hope of gettin g an application through (on fashion catalogues)
Now recently i decided to grow up and try and resolve a lot of my unpaid debts - most of my debt has been passed onto Lowell - i'm currently in correspondence with them but they said they wont discuss my account as my DOB doesnt match their records!!! ive emailed them back confirming my DOB and am awaiting their response!!! so what wil happen now??? they'll know i've either lied, or entered it incorrectly!!!! am i looking at a prison sentence? what will happen!

I wouldn't imagine you'd get in much trouble just 'cos of a DOB.
When i'm filling in things in on the Internet (not credit cards), i often put my Dob a few days away from my real one.The only reason i do it is you often hear about your information being stolen and i think if that ever happens they haven't got all the right details.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Nothing will happen now, they will write to you, your problem is then solved.
Lowell are specialist debt purchasers and won't give a monkeys about what DOB you've entered in a previous credit application.
