It is worth a try. As I said it may take a while (they have 8 weeks to respond to a complaint, some then ask for more or you can go to the ombudsman after 8 weeks if they haven't replied or have issued a final response you don't agree with). If at first they reject the complaint fon't let it put you off. The long drawn out battle woth them could help your DMP along.
I see six payday loan debts included on your original post I think. Were they all lending to you at the same time?
Good luck and keep your spirits up. Keep paying your DMP as normal whilst you have complaints ongoing.
Not really sure who they are. Do they fall under the pay day loan bracket and would you have any case with them for a complaint if so?
If you havent got the lump sum and they havent offered to accept the discounted amount in installments it probably isn't a goer sadly but that's not to say you can't issue a written formal complaint about their lending.
What was your credit history like when you took out the loan with them? Did they run a credit check on you?
Very much fall within the PayDay loan bracket - short term lending with very high interest rates.
I took out 3 loans with them in total. The first two I paid off. However, I defaulted on the third after just one month.
I do believe I have a case for a formal complaint against them. By the time the third loan was issued I had outstanding debts with multiple creditors. I don't know what my credit rating was like at the time but I would assume extremely poor.
I've started the process of sending complaints to some of my creditors (the PDL companies) in the attempt to reclaim interest/wipe balances.
I feel like I have a strong case with at least a few of them, but I'm expecting nothing and will continue to tow-the-line on my DMP as usual.
Aside from this there's not too much to report.
Next month I'm hoping to make an additional payment of around £100 against one of the outstanding debts. I will now target one of the credit cards/bank loans as I don't want to be making extra payments to the creditors who I have open complaints with!

Got a letter out of the blue today from Different Money making me a 'one time offer' to settle the loan at £351 (currently £464 outstanding).
This was completely unexpected, as I haven't had any contact with them since the start of my DMP.
Really not sure what to make of it to be honest. I can't afford to pay £351 right now. The max lump sum I could offer would be around £100.
Any thoughts? Should I make a counter offer? They have given me 28 days before the offer expires.

Current total May 2018 - £0.00 - 100.00% paid off
Debt free date (worst case) - December 2019
I've come to an agreement with WizzCash to settle the loan with a one-off payment of just over £200.
Given it's my smallest debt, I think it's a fair result and an easy win.
Feels great to be finally reducing my number of creditors.
