Liz Earle Skin Tonic - Sticky

I went back to the LE range recently after a break of at least 8 years. I'm still loving C+P but regardless of how much or how little of the instant boost skin tonic I use I'm finding it leaves my skin sticky.
Has this happened to anyone else? Do you know why? Is it the PEG-40 castor oil ? I know I'm removing the C+P thoroughly, I use a fresh muslin every 2 days or so and my skin isn't sticky before I use the tonic but as soon as the tonic hits my skin and starts drying - it's sticky and stays that way!

Haven't used in a long time. But use damp cotton wool to wipe your face with the tonic.
They have changed the ingredients formulas of her products since being bought out by first Avon and now Walgreen/Boots. The higher end natural ingredients have moved further down the list.0 -
Most luxuary brands will accept an item as a return if you are unhappy with it and have some form of proof of purchase (either receipt or it showing on a bank statement). I don't have any experience of this product so can't advise but will say that for me, if I use any facial product with rose or aloe-vera in, it doesn't tend to sink in and ends up being tacky, this is personal to my skin but could be something which affects some others? (My skin is otherwise dry/slightly sensitive if this is any help).0

I have no trouble with the tonic in the bottle but the spritzer leaves my face sticky.0
