Hi All
Just in the process of a debt consolidation and borrowing more on the mortgage to get a lower rate on what I owe - about £20k.
Is it all done on affordability or is it done on credit score? My score is just below average as in the process of cleaning up, never missed anything - always above the minimum payments too. I've submitted all the info after my first call and they are happy for me to speak to an advisor next week. Does anyone have experience of this? Do I need to prepare anything? I've been told it's a 90 minute phone call so expecting a grilling!
