Default / Arrangement to Pay

Hello fellow DFW's!
Back in April 2012, I was unable to pay the minimum on my Capital One card (I went back to uni and was skint, basically!). I wrote to them and set up an "arrangement to pay"; they agreed to take £30 a month until the balance was cleared, while freezing the interest. The balance was finally paid off in October 2013. Even though it was an arrangement, it still records on my credit report as a default - so my report has DF in all months from April 2012 to October 2013.
I know defaults stay on your account for 6 years, but i'm a wee bit confused about when that 6 years starts? Will they drop off in April 2018 or October 2019?
Thanks so much guys!

They should drop off your file 6 years from the first date of default£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

Somewere on the credit file entry it will state the date of default.
After 6 years have passed, from that date, the entry will disappear.
Good job it was defaulted and not marked as "AP", as arrangement to pay markers stay on for another 6 years after settlement.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thank you guys - I was originally just using Clearscore and noddle and the info there was as clear as mud; but I've just checked my Experian one and that give me the "date of default" which is April 2012.0
