I've been comping for a few months now and I've found myself avoidong rafflecopter posts, the trouble is I don't know why.
I've read in the forum that you have to include it in the title if it is a rafflecopter competition in case people don't enter there.
My question is, do you enter them and if not, why not?
I hope this makes sense.

I enter both Gleam and Rafflecopter competitions, if the prizes are something I'd be interested in and have won from them. Sometimes they are a lot less effort to enter than some of the other website or email competitions, I've never had any problems.Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.0

hi, pm sent to Glad

I mostly don't bother with rafflecopters as most of them are run by blogs which require you to either comment and/or like them on FB and follow them on Twitter. Most of the blogs are not to my taste so I'd feel fraudulent commenting on their articles, and I don't want their posts clogging up my FB news feed, so I tend to stay away from them. The odd one I do enter but I skip most.
I do enter a few more Gleam comps as normally they are just "click here for a free entry" and follow on Twitter, I have a Twitter account but don't really go on it often so it doesn't bother me as much.0 -
I tend to just do the easy bits like retweeting and following and ignore the subscribe or comment bits. Not won anything yet though so i dont know whether the entries count?Wins 2016: Dogfest ticks, B&M dog Hamper, Dog food, Dog blanket, Hair product, meal for 2 and wine at pub, craft bundle, organic surge gift pack, £100 gullivers world voucher, stress out cd, £200 seascape vouchers, popcorn maker, mandarin body butter, Wishing for a holiday win!0

I enter them unless they want blog post comments, can't be bothered with all that. In 4 years of comping I never won a Rafflcopter or Gleam comp.0

I enter them but only once and I don't seek them out particularly. When I thought about it a while back some of my most unpleasant comping moments have been dealing with a girlie blogger when a prize hasn't shown up. Some seem to take it very personally rather than seeing it as the sponsor letting them down too. Of course many blogs are run for profit and a missing prize can badly affect their advertising revenue if they get an ASA ruling against them. Also the whole UK blogger thing is very cliquey, you'll notice the same small group of people running all the blogger groups and it's something of a reign of terror...0

I rarely bother with them as there are usually so many entry platforms (is that the right phrase?!) that you end up with a ridiculous number of entries. If it's just a tweet or newsletter or both, fine. But quite often you go to enter, then realise you get another 5 entries or so for each method of entry. So for one prize, one person can end up with something stupid like 50 entries if they complete all the methods of entry. Granted, not all are that many, but you get my gist.
I like it if comps give one prize to FB entries, and one prize to twitter entries. So much fairer/nicer than having twice as many people enter for the same prize
Sometimes the odds are just too great and you have to know what can be a waste of time. I do enter multiple times for cash on radio comps/ITV when free online and all that though!
Jx2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
Rafflecopters are something i won't enter. Absolutely open to abuse quite easily. Blogs usually let other bloggers win. Its denied of course but it happens. Also they want you to retweet and share a million times for a prize worth a fiver mostly. I avoid them all.
That brings me to the second part which is people for some reason not putting RAFF in the title if they post a comp using this method. please put it in the title so those of us who don't want to enter can just pass it by.August-September 2017: Lots of stuff
