My apologies if this has been posted before, but WH Smiths are working in conjunction with Marie Currie and are offering a 25% off voucher when you trade in one of your old books.
The idea is that WH Smiths will hand over any traded-in books to Marie Currie who will then sell them in their shops. In return, WH Smiths will give you a voucher for 25% off any books that you buy. This includes books on offer (I bought 2 books in their BOGOHP section and got 25% off the pair - £9 instead of £17).
The deal is running until the 31st August and the vouchers will last until the 14th September.
Official MoneySavingExpert insert Tue 23 Aug: To get a voucher for 25% off books, go to a WHSmith high street store and hand over a book you already own – it says this can be any genre, but shouldn’t have missing or severely damaged pages or covers. WHSmith will pass on your donated book to terminal illness charity Marie Curie, which will either sell the book in its shop to help raise funds, or share it with someone in one of its hospices. WHSmith will accept books until Wed 31 Aug and you can use your 25% off voucher at high street stores only until Wed 14 Sep. You can get a voucher for each book you donate. The offer excludes online, outlet stores, Selfridges, Harrods, Arnotts and Fenwick stores, WHSmith Local and stores located in airports, railway stations, motorway service stations, hospitals or garden centres. You can’t use the voucher with any other promotional voucher or discount card.
Big thanks to one_dull_guy for the original spot!

Don't buy cheap things, buy things cheap.

Can you clarify this please? Do you mean that you can just hand in books to a shop which will be passed on to Marie Curie? And are all shops taking part in this?0

Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0

As far as I'm aware, yes, all WH Smiths are taking part.
