That you can make Roboform save the details you type into a form
I've spent the last 2 1/2 years having to keep adding, removing and changing bits it's autofilled from my identity which go in the wrong box etc.
Feel like I have a new lease of life I'm whizzing through these Staffordshire Living comps without having to keep typing the 2nd and 3rd lines of my address :rotfl:

It literally just pinged into my head randomly "surely Roboform must be able to save the changes I make instead of just keep putting in the same standard autofill details" and hey-presto! Has come in especailly handy with the Northern & Shell ones with regards to tick boxes
Exciting stuff :rotfl:0 -
Wait?????!!!! What is this??!!!0

Is there a reason Robo form is better than using the browsers own auto fill?Comping Since June 2016

I think the default keyboard shortcut is ALT+ [ and it asks you if you want to save form. You can also get to it by clicking the roboform button at the top and going roboform > save forms. It's a godsend for pages that do regular comps but always fill in the wrong place like the Times etc, I fill it all in and adjust it, click the correct tick boxes then save the form and submit and it's all saved for next time :j
Edit: nanny when you go to fill in next time press ALT + ] (think ALT is the default, could be CTRL though) and it'll bring up a login box, choose from logins rather than identities and it'll fill it all in correctly0 -

From the comping guide
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1014121Roboform
Another fabulous aid to MSE Compers is Roboform
The Trial Version is free if you keep the passcards (saved information) below 10, otherwise it may ask you to upgrade to the Full Version. The Full Version is approx. £12 & I have heard more than a couple of MSE Compers say that it is worth every penny. Once it is set up with all your details, you can either click once & it fills the comp entry form in so you can then check it & hit ‘Submit’, or you can choose for it to complete & ‘Submit’ automatically when the page is opened. I always prefer to hit the ‘Submit’ button myself as then I can check it has put things in the right place. Sometimes if a comp answer is a name or town, the comp organisor might have labeled that field ‘Name’ or ‘Town’ but Roboform sees ‘Name’ or ‘Town’ & puts your name or town in! Quite funny as long as you can still change the answer back to the correct one!
One way to avoid that issue is to use the 'Save' button in Roboform. This allows you to save the format for that comp site after you have jiggled your info into the correct boxes (but before you have added your answer!) Next time you do a comp with the same company you can use the presaved version of their entry form, this is then much faster!
(Do make sure that when you save, you haven't already filled in the answer as otherwise each time you use the saved version it will change whatever answer you have put in for that comp to the one on your saved passcard for that site. Comp sites this can be handy for are ones like: Female First, Marie Claire, Tiscali (although they seem to have 2 different comp forms), radio stations, etc.
The Mac alternative to Roboform, is 1Password0 -
