Hi there, I have been running a dmp since 2012 and I can see light at the end of the tunnel. What I would like to know is, I have a number of catalogs, credit cards and the like on my dmp. What is best plan for these accounts once I hit the finishing line?
Should I cancel all accounts or is it best to keep some going.

Definitely cancel catalogues they are very tempting to use. Keep 1 credit card for emergencies.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

I would agree with the above comment. If in the future you feel you are in a position to use a catalogue to your advantage, you can always open another one.
It's more than likely however that you are used to saving for what you want so won't want to bother.Aiming to make £7,500 online in 20220 -

I'd get rid of the catalogues but keep 1 credit card. I have a Tesco credit card which I make sure I pay off fully each month. Once I pay for something on it, I transfer money to a separate account so it's ready to pay off. I collect Tesco points by using it and then use them for days out.Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500

Nobody needs catalogue accounts, I've never had one, get rid. Keep one credit card and use it wisely, clear it very month. Tesco have just offered me a second card, why would I need one? I don't know. You might like to keep one just for online buying, but I don't even do that.
Write to cc companies and close accounts, then cut them up.
