You might want to consider what else your solicitor might not have bothered checking...they certainly ought to be checking where funds have come from, both to satisfy the lender and also the requirements of anti-money laundering regulations.0 -

Funds are in our account though, maybe that's why they haven't checked? Lender was given bank statement0 -
Quick update on this: When looking for mortgages, notified my broker about part of the deposit coming from partner gift via loan. Went through the whole process and are now at exchange stage, only thing partner was asked to sign is that as an occupier, he has no interest in flat.0
