No7 Deal from MSE email - free lipstick included as 1 of the 2 purchases needed

I did this as I saw the deal on the MSE email, however I used the free lipstick voucher, and also bought a blusher after my first purchase, and the No 7 lady told me as I had bought 2 items of make-up, even though the lipstick was free with the voucher, I would still get the free gift. So if you used a No 7 £3 off makeup voucher, and 'bought' your free lipstick, then a nail varnish, you would only spend £3.00 and you would get another gift, with another free lipstick voucher in! :T:T:T:T
Rinse and repeat?????
I copied the details below from the email link for anyone that needs it. - hope that was ok to do!
This is a corker. You can get £40 of No7 beauty products including eyeshadow, mascara and lipstick for £12 online at Boots* or in store (find your nearest*) until Tue 30 Aug (subject to stock). There’s a trick where you may even be able to get it all for £9 – more on that below. Delivery's £3.50, or you can click & collect in store for free.
Here’s what to do:
1) Choose any two No7 cosmetics. The cheapest items we found to get the offer in our local Boots were two 10ml No7 nail polishes* at £6 each (£12 total). If you've picked up a £3 off No7 coupon in store with a previous purchase (you can also try asking on the day), you can stack it with this offer and only pay £9 for the two polishes.
2) The free No7 'Beautiful Blossom' set will be automatically added to your basket online, you’ll need to pick it up from the shelf and take it to the till in store when you pay for your two No7 cosmetics.
3) If you’re buying or collecting from a store, open the gift set box in store and use the free lipstick voucher to save another trip to Boots. If you’re buying online, you’ll need to get your lipstick from a store when you receive your voucher in the gift set.
The 'Beautiful Blossom' beauty set
We've totted up the total value of the items in the set, and based on full-sized products we reckon they're worth £28ish in total. Here’s what you’ll get:

Good timing, I called in today and got my free gift and another £3 with a purchase of lip liner and nail varnish. So I can use my lippy voucher and theoretically get another nail varnish and free gift for £3. Loving Boots atm. Thanks BB34. Won't be greedy and I'll only do once though to give to my baby girl as a top up birthday pressy.0

Went this morning and went through the self serve with my meal deal, nail varnish, free lippy and new gift with purchase (including another voucher which is in my daughter's clutches) . All fine and the lady that had to authorise my vouchers was fine.0

I tried to do it in store yesterday on a normal till and they wouldn't let me because the lipstick was "free". I said the nail polish is only £3 if I use my voucher but you're not bothered that I'm not paying full price for that are you?

Not Trouted just doing as they have been told the policy is. They could get in trouble for putting it through as apparently HO are flagging up those that do put them through which could lead to disciplinary action. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -

Head Office should programme the tills so that it doesn't work - that wouldn't be difficult to do. That way the staff wouldn't be at risk of doing something "wrong".0 -

Apparently they are working on it for next time, it hasn't worked previously so they are not sure why it has this time.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -
Ok...a couple of questions:
- When does the free match made lipstick voucher expire?
- Can we expect triple points next weekend?Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
