Modular sofas - http://www.intosofa.com/

I am considering buying a modular sofa from IntoSofa and was wondering if anybody had used and would recommend them. The testimonials on their website are all very glowing (of course) but seem to be mainly about the customer service and ease of assembly. I'm interested in how the sofas are after a year or two of 'wear and tear'. Has anybody had one of these for a while? They seem so cheap compared to other sofas that I'm a bit worried they might fall apart after a bit.

Are there any other companies that offer the same service i.e. sofas that come in a number of pieces that you can put together at home? (for those with narrow stairs and doorways and windows unsuitable for shoving a sofa thru').

Cheers,

hs

i was recently looking for a leather corner sofa for my apt and came across someone ebay ID: sofas4u i think..they actually make them to your own spec. You can order any combination of seat/ corner and footstool. You can choose the colour and material yourself too.

for a whole corner suite of 2 corners, 3 seats and 2 footstools i paid just over £700 delivered which was an absolute bargain. From what i undertand the company have them made in Poland and them ship them across.

    Excellent quality and very pleased...

My sister got her sofabed from intosofa (iirc) and I have to say, it's pretty good really..

They've got quite a narrow staircase up their flat, so having it in pieces was great and the delivery was really quick (they needed a sofa in a hurry)

They've had it about 9 months now and it's still in pretty good shape...

It's not the best quality you'll ever get, but pretty good for the money...

    (omgz! I sound like a spambot!) :)

I have one from there last year, in sort of a dark cream faux suede. We paid a little extra to have it scotchguarded.

    And it's lovely.

Dead easy to assemble (my toddler helped!), very fast delivery and a great service. They even put a stamp on the guarantee card for you. :T

Sofa still looks great, but it is not in use every day, so can't really comment on it's longevity.

The sofas look good but are really poor quality.

Customer services will not respond to your enquiry. So if your sofa is delivered damaged, or requires part replacing, be prepared that you will receive none.
  • i have had an intosofa for more that three years it has worn really well, they are worth the money

Questionable spam aside, just to note that I've had 2 more sofabeds from intosofa since my above post and both were delivered on time, easy to assemble, "do the job" and seem to be wearing pretty well...
