If I am posting in the wrong place - forgive me :0)
I have been chatting to my supplier today and I've discovered that I spend £50 a month on gas (I'm with my cheapest supplier). I do take a lot of baths; every day. Is it cheaper to get a shower instead maybe.. Anyone have any idea how much I could save?
Thank you!

Even in winter I use no more than £20 per week, summer £3. Something is wrong for £50 in August. Defo shower, and turn it off when you get out!0

Is the £50 per month your average over 12 months? It would very much depend on how big your house is, how many people live there, if gas is for cooking and heating, and how old your boiler is.
I replaced a 25 year old boiler and reduced my monthly dual fuel bill by £15.
Also, I am assuming you are on mains gas?0 -

Yes on mains gas, boiler only a couple of years old, just me and a 13 year old in a 2 bed semi (size of a 3 bed). Hmm I'll switch to showers I think and see if that helps! Thank you :0)0 -
Do not get a power shower, they use a lot of water.
The secret to showering and saving money is get wet, turn off shower, soap up, turn on shower to rinse, turn off, job done!0 -
Depnding on how much your heating is on, you could try turning your thermostat down one or two degrees. A lot of it depends on things like insulation, etc, but you shouldn't really notice much difference in the temperature, but it does cut down usage. Although they say optimum is about 20, we had ours at 18 for most of the winter. There are lots of other tips and hints on here, maybe look in the section for gas/electricity.0

How many baths do you have a day? Do you need to bathe every day, do you work on a farm, or something?0

The secret to showering and saving money is get wet, turn off shower, soap up, turn on shower to rinse, turn off, job done!Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0 -
Maybe your baths should be tax deductible; in an ideal world, they would be.0
