Hi,
I recently used the info pack from stepchange to write to the 4 companies I owe money to to arrange reduced payments on defaulted accounts (change of work circumstances/family breakdown) and used their letter templates and included everything they advised. Ive had letters back from all 4 companies but none have said what account to pay the money into ... I don't want to have to speak to anyone as my mental health isn't good and couldn't cope with having to go over all that's happened in the last 9months with a total stranger.
should I write to them and ask for clarification or just pay into the account as if were making a normal payment?
thank you for any advice,
Sue

I would just carry on paying to the original account details until told differently.
Good luck0 -
Hi,
I struggled with this too - I just made payments the same way as I had before and have had no issue. Just check when you get your next statement that the payment you made is showing.

If all your accounts are still with the original creditors, then nothing has changed.
They have agreed to you making lesser payments than you are contractually oblighed to, so you would continue to pay via whatever method you have been doing to date.
What you have is a payment arrangement, nothing else has changed, so you would continue to run the accounts as normal.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
