Anyone had any luck with the barclays loan guarantee offer?

Hello all,

I am looking at taking out a loan to help my mother buy a car as she only works part time.

I am looking at going with my bank Barclays as I have my mortgage etc with them and I am also pre approved so it's just easy.

Just curious if anyone has had any success with the price guarantee they have? I have found a few offers online slightly lower but would rather have everything under one roof. We are only talking a few £100 over the term of the loan but every little helps.

The problem with most loan gurantee's is they want the proof as an accepted Loan to allow them to match which always means a hard search, not much of an issue with Barclays as pre approved but for others it can be and might be enough to give you a higher APR due to risk that might mean the Barclays one is cheaper as no guarantee you will get the advertised rate of the other provider.
