Leaks from flat above, what do I expect from Landlord?

First off I am in Scotland as thats relevant.
I moved here 2 years ago, the previous tenants moved out after they were themselves flooded out as the landlord upstairs is dodgy (he has been on Watchdog before or one of those BBC shows for multiple reasons)
What I was informed of at the time (not by my landlord who failed to mention it but the other tenants of building) was that all the upstairs landlord did was instead of fixing the leak extend a pipe to make a overflow that poured out the back of building.
Since I moved in I had a minor flood in kitchen 4 months after I moved in, was more just sides needed wiped down with towels and mopped floor and there was a piece of wallpaper that came off ceiling.
Since then I had another small leak in kitchen a month ago, but I was away for 2 days and came back to notice my bathroom flooded, every wall soaked, crumbs of plaster about though the actual plasterwork isn't cracked and one corner of my bedroom wall which is next to bathroom is damp too.
Phoned agency this morning (the agency is the landlord as they own the flats they rent out) who promised me a call back with an update but haven't done so.
What do I do now and what shall I expect? seems to be no leak at minute but dont want water to crash down on me during night.
Shall I put heating on in bathroom to dry place out?
What rights do I have in terms of fixing the problem as a tenant in Scotland?
And once the leak is fixed if it is(don't trust that other landlord as he never does repairs) what happens to the walls that the walls are darkened from water and need repainted?
