I wanted to thank the community (and Martin and his team for the website)... back in 2009, due to tax issues (that were entirely the fault of my employer and HMRC), I ended up in serious debt, missing payments on credit cards, seeing my bank balance dipping into the negative every month days after receiving my pay cheque.
I reached out to the community and was recommended to go on a Debt Management Plan with CCCS:-

I did - and they were a fantastic help, taking all the stress out of those debts, stopping them from spiralling out of control.
Following that, I worked really hard to make sure that I paid off those debts... I started my own company, built it up to the point that I had nearly 50 employees, then sold it... paying off my mortgage and all my debts. I realise this isn't something everyone can do - there was an incredible amount of luck involved, along with the hard work. And despite my wife (now ex-wife) spending all the money she herself was earning on frivolous things (ie. not helping at all).
Years later, I'm finally at the point where my credit file is now pretty much squeaky clean and I might soon be able to get another mortgage (the house that I paid off went to my wife).
I've started a new company and am growing it slowly. Things are going really well :-)
So, thanks again to the community!
Anyone out there struggling, please, don't give up!
Cheers.
