my freezer still has a few containers of pectin from last years crab apples. I make chilli jelly with it or mint jelly.0

I made a spiced crab apple vodka last year, which has turned out to be delicious! It's a lovely honey colour. I basically just put some crab apples in a big jar with a stick of cinnamon, some cloves (and possibly a nutmeg?) and some sugar and poured over the vodka. It's delicious!0

Is there any way of using crab apples without adding sugar, I wonder?
