HPI isn't the 'meaning of life', but it has paid for our financial independence and allows us to do what we want, when we want to do it.

    6 minutes later !

So this is what you do with your life? Try and make others feel small on an internet forum because they didnt have the opportunities you did to buy a house?

All this (alleged) freedom, and look at you.

You come here to be envied. No-one envies you. No-one respects you. They pity you.

I still saw no dispute of the facts about crashys predictions coming to fruition, because there is no dispute. Other than your silly flat contradiction flying in the face of the observable facts.

Poor you. Yes. Poor. Where it counts you are absolutely poverty stricken. A modern day morality tale.

Every sympathy for someone who can't afford to buy a house, no sympathy for some who choose not to buy and try's to convince everybody he made the right decision when he obviously didn't.

Id just like to add I enjoyed the fact that no-one disputed any of this, and yet still consistently claim that crashy time doesn't know what he's talking about.

Id also like to add since I won't be posting again for a long time that Im also enjoying the signs of capitulation I see in the posts here. Only now of course, they all pretend they don't care... despite posting crap here for months on end trying to prove they must be smart because they bought a house once. When the HPI ends, what meaning can they find in their lives? sad times ahead. :rotfl:
Can't say I saw he predict the first two and what is bubble sentiment.

What I do with my life? This morning I went jogging with my dog, then I practiced lawn bowls as I am in 4 semi-finals in our various competitions, I also played some chess online. The highlight of my day was going out for along walk with my wife and dog, right now I am cooking a roast chicken, so will have to attend to that (but I will be back to see your retort).

I really don't give a sh*t what you think about me, why would I?

Try and get your head around this: It isn't what you predict in life that is important, it is what you do about it! When the ftse dropped I piled into it, and also switched investments, which created a paper loss, this loss allows me to mitigate future capital gains tax, now that the ftse has recovered, I have regained my notional losses, but still have losses to offset against CGT!

Exactly! We all know how hard it is to get on the housing ladder these days, I've helped a couple of my friends with deposits in the past, and I would do so again.

You give enormous !!!!!! about what everyone reading thinks of you, that is why you post.

You come here to be envied. No-one envies you. No-one respects you.

Still no mention of crashys correct predictions. Deary me. So easily beaten.

You bore me, what a pathetic specimen.

On to other things for me!! You, sadly, will no doubt remain. Sad man.

If I bore you so much why do you keep replying? Try and keep your logic intact :rotfl: What part of 'I don't give a sh*t about what you think of me' did you not understand? I am doing financially what I do for me and my family to have a better life, I really don't care about anything else, money just buys things, end of.

Predictions alone mean nothing, actions mean everything, read my post again and you might get it (although I seriously doubt it).

House prices will not double for a long time. It's down to real wage growth and affordability

My first instinct is to agree with you completely on this. If prices continue to rise in the fashion they have over the past 10-15 years then surely people won't be able to afford to live.

But then you look at global cities such as New York, Hong Kong etc the housing crisis is worse than in London....and still price increases show little sign of relenting

London house prices might have already reached an all (real term) high, I think that it is possible that I will not see house prices doubling in London within my lifetime (I'm 59 in Jan).
