I think they should definitely teach money management in schools. But they would need to have a good syllabus that covers exactly what needs to be taught. If teachers who are bad at money management themselves start going off on a tangent it may cause more harm than good!.
I've always been good with money myself simply due to the fact that from a young age I have known that if I want something I have to use money to get it and if I don't have money I can't have it!. So whenever I got money from birthdays or a paper round I didn't like to spend it all just in case I wanted something in the future.
That's also why I have been very resistant to borrowing money to buy things. I always hate the thought of having to pay a set amount for 2, 3, 4 + years!.
So a persons attitude is a big factor in how well they manage money which from my experience is very difficult to teach!0
