We were thinking the ham would look nice. No idea if our butcher would cook it though. I'll pop down and ask this week

Submarine rolls. They are delish. For some reason they stay really soft and sweetish

Whilst a ham on the bone will look effective, it's not cost efficient

I can't mind how many you are cooking for but buying a large gammon or three and cooking your own then putting them through a slicer will be much more cost friendly. I always boil mine ( you can use a slow cooker) then glaze and finish in the oven till the glaze looks to die for

A couple of large platters dressed up with salads, fruits, pickles...
  • So just incase anyone is interested we have made some progress
Bread: waitrose opens at 10 (doors at 9.30) and we can pre order bread for collection. Going to Ask tesco and sainsbury if they do the same to compare prices. So pleased we can have fresh bread on the day.
Ham: contacted local butcher, need to go in to confirm details but they can do cooked ham, sliced nicely so the ham holds together (hopefully) cost approx £35 for 50 slices
Recently married and loving it x
