Facebook share

Options
When a facebook comp requests you to share the post facebook offers the options to either share public, friends, or just me.

Do you think it is ok to share to "just me" as I do not want to swamp friends walls .

I figured as my facebook is locked to the public the comp organiser would not be able to see I have done this.

Exactly - If it is a requirement that you share to win and the company cannot see your share, then you are not in it to win it I'm afraid!
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea

You have to share it 'public' the world icon to be entered into the draw or the promoter won't be able to see it.

Although it is actually against Facebook's terms and conditions to ask someone to share or tag someone for competition entries.
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.
  • A quick question linked to Facebook competitions I am starting to wonder if the competitions being promoted by Deals on wheels are real or just click bait?
I have yet to see the names of people who have won. I certainly haven't been linked in to the winner announcement?
If it's click bait I will unfollow and let my friends know.
    I would welcome any advice.
My apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place.
    Thank you
:A Good luck to everyone! :A

If the company running the FB comp requires you to SHARE then they are breaching FB rules

    3. Promotions may be administered on Pages or within apps on Facebook. Personal Timelines and friend connections must not be used to administer promotions (example: “share on your Timeline to enter” or “share on your friend's Timeline to get additional entries”, and "tag your friends in this post to enter" are not permitted).
