LCS / First Utility

Okay - so...
I've had the pleasure of receiving a letter from LCS regarding an unpaid debt of £305.08 for 'final usage charges' whilst I was residing at a previous property address. The client is First Utility and the letter states a date period from/to.
The dates specified do not even correspond to when I was in the property! Because I refuse to speak to these idiots verbally, I've emailed over to them proof of my tenancy agreement showing the dates I was there. They responded with 'Please call the offices to discuss further' - I replied with an email along the lines of 'you have all the proof you need, this debt has nothing to do with me so stop writing to me'.
Thinking that would be the end of it, a week later I get another letter. I decided to call First Utility, providing them with the account number. Even they have confirmed that my name has nothing to do with this debt! So, I emailed LCS with details of the call and with whom I spoke to.
Surely, LCS have breached DPA regulations here? There's something in there about a company having a 'legitimate interest' in obtaining someone's details - my name has nothing to do with this debt yet they continue contacting me!
Any ideas on what I can do if the letters keep coming?
Thanks in advance
Have a happy Saturday!

Great advice from Sourcrates, I'd do all the above.
If none of this works, go to the newspapers, MP or bothDebt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.
