Pancakes for crispy duck

Does anyone know where I can purchase these? I have searched Chinese supermarkets for delivery as I dont have one near me but it seems I can only buy them frozen so they cant be delivered. Any ideas?

Have you thought of making a batch & freezing them? They're not that difficult. One recipe here https://www.nigella.com/recipes/members/sauce-pots-chinese-pancakes-for-crispy-duck
but there are others if you Google.

Thanks. I would prefer to buy a lot of them and keep them in the freezer. If I dont find any then I will have a try at making them then. That link you gave wouldnt open for me but I will have a google.

I was going to suggest that - I've definitely seen them in Waitrose. I'm not sure though how well they freeze, I think my mum tried but they went quite damp when thawed and stuck together.
  • Thankyou! I have a Waitrose just 6 miles away!

    Sainsburys sell them

    They freeze well

I just cut a steam vent in the packet and nuke for a few seconds. Then open the packet and wrap the warmed pancakes up in a clean tea towel to keep warm.

We can demolish a 10 pack in minutes :)
  • I cant see them in Sainsburys? I am looking online now?

Mysupermarket is only showing them in Waitrose.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I get mine from Waitrose, not cheap at £1.19 for 10 but they are sometimes on the reduced shelf at 45p so I get them then and freeze them for use later ;)

Maybe your store doesn't stock them.

Use mysupermarket or register an account with waitrose and see if they are listed for a store near you.
