hi
i've just started a new job and have been invited to join the company pension scheme... now i have a slight problem that i have very little idea what exactly a pension is or whether it would be any use for me at all
to be honest i'm rubbish with money and i have a horrible feeling i'd break into an isa if i was to choose that option instead.
i'd really just like a little advice or opinion on what may be good for me to do... either join the pension or to think about other investments.
thanks :j

if there is free money then you join and get as much free money as possible.
free money means employer contribution in this sense. So, if they pay 5% thats 5% free money of if its a final salary scheme it can be worth a lot more than that.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
