Butternut soup left out overnight - help!

Can anyone please offer some advice?
I made some butternut soup in my machine last night around 20:00. I put into a container with the the lid over but not sealed.
Woke up this morning and have realised that neither I nor hubby put it in the fridge (it's supposed to be for lunch today).
Contents are squash, onion, chilli, and spices.
Thanks in advance for advice!

It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice

I would eat it. I left tomato and lentil soup out the other night and it was fine.

Should be perfectly fine. I often make soup and let it cool overnight before chilling or freezing.0

Thanks all. Makes it even better as I used a cheat and bought 2 packs of mix from the shop so it only cost 20p. Happy nutty! It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice0

Absolutely fine. There is nothing in it to go off. You could happily leave all the ingredients out f the fridge, therefore anything made from them.0

I always leave veggie type soups out overnight. I think the flavours improve much better if left unrefridgerated over night.0

Good lord. Big fuss. I live on leftovers, usually left in the pan overnight. Flavours meld even more.
My only doubt would be if cream has been added and the weather is extremely hot.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
